9-8 Columbus Win Thrills Crowd
Santiago Mota led the charge as the Columbus Catfish defeated the Greenville Drive, 9-8, in 12 innings at Progressive Field. Mota, who is tied for 3rd in the SAL in RBI with 77, was 4-6 with a home run, 3 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win lifted the Columbus record to 81-43.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With no one out, Mota hit a splitter from Rik Marion for a run-scoring single. The Catfish, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Our team showed some resilience," said Mota.
