Montgomery rode a decent outing from starter José Sánchez to victory over the Biloxi Shuckers. The final score was 6-5. Turk De Santiago earned the save for Montgomery, his 4th of the year. The second-place Biscuits lifted their record to 75-58.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Luke Sasamoto? The Montgomery designated hitter had a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Biscuits on top, 2-1. For the game, Sasamoto had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
