The Shreveport Engineers topped the Mississippi Braves by a score of 6-3. Leading the way was right fielder Jaiden Rogers. Rogers hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Engineers. Jim Hovekamp got the win, improving to 10-7. He held the Braves to 3 runs on 6 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 2. The 4th-place Engineers improved to 78-55.

With Shreveport trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Rogers hit a fastball from Tom Cubitt for a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Engineers ahead, 4-3.
