The 9-6 St. Petersburg win over Corpus Christi was due in large part to Cory Glover. The Flying Squirrels first baseman was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Wrench Coker earned the save for St. Petersburg. St. Petersburg, at 63-72, sits in 7th place in the Southern League Southeast Division.

Noblesville, Indiana native Cory Glover had a clutch at-bat in the bottom of the eighth for the Flying Squirrels. With St. Petersburg trailing 6-5, he hit a 2-run single.

"To get where we want to as a team, we all have to do things out of our comfort zone," Glover told the St. Petersburg Observer.
