The Tulsa Drillers clobbered the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 13-1, at Arvest Ballpark. Leading the onslaught was Chet Matlock. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs for Tulsa. Timmy Wheeler, the winning pitcher, improved to 4-5. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 6 hits and 1 run, while striking out 4 and walking 0. The Drillers saw their win-loss record go to 55-80. At the same time, the Naturals fell to 27-108.

Tulsa used a clutch at-bat from Berserker Rebello to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Drillers ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Good hitting and good pitching is a lethal combination," said Matlock.
