The exploits of left fielder Rory Allen, who is tied for 9th in the SL in runs scored with 73, helped the Rocket City Trash Pandas defeat the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 6-2. Allen went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Picking up the win was Ulli Putz. He went 7.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits. The right--hander struck out 3 and walked 0. The 5th-place Trash Pandas are now 62-73, the Naturals 34-101.

With Rocket City leading 2-0 in the top of the fifth, Allen hit a fastball from Avery Taylor for a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Trash Pandas ahead, 4-0.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Allen told the Rocket City Daily News.
