Rocket City got a terrific game from first baseman Marc Cravens. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Alexandria, 4-3. Cravens went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. The Aces saw their record improve to 73-58.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Dirk Lila? The 23-year old catcher Lila stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Alexandria up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
In comments to the Alexandria Chronicle, Lila insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
