Tulsa 7-5 Losers to Hooks
|
The Corpus Christi Hooks bested the Tulsa Drillers, 7-5, at Whataburger Field. Vinny Perry was one of the standouts. He was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Picking up the save was Roger Miller, his 26th. Corpus Christi is now 76-53, while Tulsa is 73-56.
Corpus Christi took a 6-5 lead on Aiden Leto's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Leto hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Tulsa pitcher Jamarcus Allen visibly frustrated.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Corpus Christi manager Ramon Guerrero.
