Sandahl Leads Biscuits to Win
|
Both offenses were relatively subdued at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Fortunately for the Montgomery Biscuits, though, Jasper Sandahl was able to deliver in the clutch. He was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2, to lead his team past the Tennessee Smokies, 3-0. The win puts Montgomery at 75-57 this season.
Montgomery second baseman Albert Romasanta helped the Biscuits go up, 1-0, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Romasanta hit a run-scoring single off Tennessee pitcher Matt Lemonde.
"We put together a nice win," Romasanta said.
