Biscuits Handle Shuckers, Nab 2-1 Win

The Biloxi Shuckers got a superb performance from pitcher Steve McCall. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Montgomery. The Biscuits won the game, 2-1. McCall came in in relief and pitched to 20 batters. The win was credited to Harumi Amaki in relief. His record improves to 5-0. Tucker Adkins took the loss. The save went to Gannon North, his 7th this season.
Julian Hacker came through with a big-time hit for Montgomery. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Tough loss," said Biloxi manager Dave Donnelly. "This one will sting for a while."
The Biscuits now own a record of 72-55.
