Win Makes Engineers 93-35
|
The Shreveport Engineers defeated the Arkansas Travelers, 6-3, in Southern League action at Engineers Ballpark. Shreveport pitcher Logan Lepak had a standout performance. Shreveport, at 93-35, is cruising.
Mathias Fortin had a big run-scoring triple for the Engineers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Shreveport leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Júnior Martínez and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Engineers ahead, 2-0.
"Getting the win feels nice," said Lepak. "More importantly, I had a good game."
