Travelers Get 8th Straight Win with Late Rally
|
Though he had a stellar game, Jordan Silva could not prevent his team, the Shreveport Engineers, from losing, 6-3, to the Arkansas Travelers. Silva was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI. Arkansas reliever Rohan Thomas picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Nat Evans took the loss. Arkansas is sitting pretty at 91-37.
Arkansas used the timely hitting of Brantley Dietrich to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Travelers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"I really like what we did out there today," Dietrich said after the game.
