Jumbo Shrimp Lose 6-3 Decision to Hooks
The Corpus Christi Hooks topped the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, 6-3, the lion's share of the credit going to designated hitter Peter Neeleman. On the day, Neeleman went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Hooks. The Hooks now own a record of 76-51.

With Corpus Christi trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Neeleman hit a fastball from Christian Foltz for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Hooks ahead, 2-1.

"We're producers not directors," said Neeleman. "Produce a good swing. Can't direct where it goes."
