The Montgomery Biscuits had to overcome a fine effort from Chattanooga pitcher Tray Werling to win, 5-3, at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Werling went 6.1 innings and allowed 5 runs. Montgomery is first in the Southern League Southeast Division with a record of 82-43.

The Biscuits got a big at-bat from center fielder Howard Burns. For the game, Burns went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Montgomery a 4-3 lead.

Montgomery manager Hector Bonilla called it "a pretty good win."
