The Montgomery Biscuits rode a solid performance from 25-year-old starting pitcher Catfish Crest to a win, beating the Midland RockHounds, 6-2, at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Vesto Sazo earned the save for Montgomery, his 3rd of the year. Montgomery, now 75-49, holds down second place in the Southern League Southeast Division.

Montgomery catcher Jacob Kiser contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a sinker to left-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 70th hit of the season and put the Biscuits ahead, 3-1.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Kiser said in reaction to the win.
