Baker Lifts Trash Pandas to 7-2 Win
|
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Trash Pandas beat the Aces.
The Rocket City Trash Pandas beat the Alexandria Aces, 7-2, at Hank Aaron Stadium. The win was due in part to designated hitter Christian Baker, who was 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The winning pitcher was J.J. Sutherland. He tossed 88 pitches over 6 innings, allowing no runs on 3 hits.
Early in the game, Baker had a 2-run triple for Rocket City. It was his 4th triple of the season and put the Trash Pandas on top, 2-0.
Baker attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
Rocket City, at 55-67, sits in 5th place in the Southern League Southeast Division.
