Aces Comiskey No-Hits Missions
|
In a dominant outing, Kenny Comiskey of the Alexandria Aces totally silenced the bats of the San Antonio Missions, finishing with a no-hitter.
In the 11-0 victory, Comiskey faced only 29 batters, surrendered no hits, had 11 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Alexandria manager Gil Mitchell said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."
Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Matt Bruno had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game.
"The Aces had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Comiskey pitched a heck of a ballgame."
In 22 starts this year, Comiskey has crafted a 8-9 record and a 3.36 ERA.
