Shreveport Pins 4-1 Loss on Trash Pandas
|
At Hank Aaron Stadium, the Rocket City Trash Pandas and Shreveport Engineers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Shreveport Engineers topped the Rocket City Trash Pandas, 4-1, the lion's share of the credit going to third baseman Bob Shaw. On the day, Shaw went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Engineers. Earning his 4th save of the year was Bruno Hall.
Shreveport took a 4-1 lead on Shaw's 21st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Chap Shockley in the top of the eighth, propelled Shreveport to the win.
Shaw called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
The Engineers move to 79-44 with the win, while the Trash Pandas drop to 51-72.
