Engineers Get 14-Inning Win
Despite a great performance by Mississippi shortstop Augie Schmunk, the Shreveport Engineers defeated the Braves by the score of 5-4 at Trustmark Park. Schmunk was 5 for 6 with 2 doubles and 3 singles. Mississippi now owns a losing streak of 7 games.

Shreveport needed the clutch hitting of Hernando García to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the 14th inning to put the Engineers on top, 5-4. For the game, García had 1 home run and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.
