Montgomery beat Northwest Arkansas at Arvest Ballpark, escaping with a 3-2 win. The win in large part was due to third baseman Eric Stanley. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Today's win puts Montgomery at 81-42, while Northwest Arkansas falls to 25-98.
Stanley had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Logovi'i Moors, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Biscuits a 3-1 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Stanley.
"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Northwest Arkansas manager Ben Brewer. "We just didn't cash in."
