The Corpus Christi Hooks beat the Shreveport Engineers, 10-6, in 10 innings at Engineers Ballpark. Pete Weller, in particular, was impressive. He was 3 for 5 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI. The winner was Darin Wiley in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Kaleb Martz took the loss. The setback makes Shreveport 51-69.

Hutton Price drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate for Corpus Christi. The 23-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring walk off Kaleb Martz. It was his 1st walk of the season.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Price.
