Losing Streak Continues for Missions with 4-2 Loss to Flying Squirrels
The St. Petersburg Flying Squirrels beat the San Antonio Missions, 4-2. St. Petersburg pitcher and Winnsboro, Louisiana, native Heath Johnston led the way. St. Petersburg reliever César Uraga was the winner. His record is now 4-3. The losing pitcher was Aiden Jankowski. San Antonio is in the throes of a long losing streak, which is now 9 games.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Nicky Jensen was at the plate when St. Petersburg scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Flying Squirrels to go in front, 3-2.

"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager Matt Bruno. "But it's got to translate into wins."
