Daniels Lifts Jumbo Shrimp to 7-5 Triumph
Jacksonville catcher Russ Daniels had a 5-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Tulsa Drillers, 7-5. The winner was Bobby Anderson in relief. His record improves to 7-4. Juan Pablo Payan took the loss. Earning his 16th save of the year was Martin Spear.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Daniels delivered big-time for Jacksonville, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Robby Whatley. The game-changing hit put the Jumbo Shrimp on top, 7-5.

In comments to the Jacksonville News, Daniels admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."

Jacksonville's record now stands at 43-74, placing them last in the Southern League Southeast Division.
