The Montgomery Biscuits dumped the Mississippi Braves, 6-3, in large part due to first baseman D.J. Adkins. On the day, Adkins hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for the Biscuits. Jago Beiza picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-3. Stephen McGeary was tagged with the loss. Picking up the save was Bear Bridges, his 31st.

Adkins had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 1-0 sinker from Stephen McGeary, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Biscuits a 4-2 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Adkins.
