Another Day, Another Win for Travelers
Another day, another victory for the red-hot Arkansas Travelers.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals had to reckon with Arkansas Travelers hurler Elliot Chavez. Chavez, who is tied for 6th in the SL with a 7.4 K/9 rate, overwhelmed the opposition in the 6-0 Travelers triumph. Chavez got the win, improving to 8-4. He gave up 5 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs.

The Travelers got a big at-bat from third baseman Randy Kennedy. For the game, Kennedy was 1 for 2 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 12th double of the season gave Arkansas a 1-0 lead.

"Elliot had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Arkansas manager George French.
