Indians Raise Rally Flag, Beat San Francisco, 2-1
|
The San Francisco Giants got a sterling performance from pitcher Silvano Liano, but the Cleveland Indians still prevailed, 2-1. Liano threw 8.0 innings of 1-hit ball. The Indians now own a record of 32-27.
Scott Tremblay was the walk-off hero for Cleveland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Indians pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Tremblay said.
