Smokies Take Tight Tilt, 1-0
The Tennessee Smokies downed the Alexandria Aces, 1-0, at Blue Wahoos Stadium. Tennessee pitcher Jacob Viens had a scintillating performance. The Smokies raised their record to 52-57.

Tennessee used the hitting of Nick Hanson to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Smokies on top, 1-0. For the game, Hanson had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.

"Good pitching stops good hitting," said Viens. "And vice-versa."
