Engineers Beat Shuckers, 7-2

Shreveport and Biloxi got after it at Engineers Ballpark.
Shreveport shortstop Jayden Lamothe made his presence felt in the 7-2 Engineers triumph over the Biloxi Shuckers. Lamothe was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Wesley Coots, now 3-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on no hits in 4.2 innings. Earning his 14th save for Shreveport was Jayson Thomas.
Lamothe had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third to put Shreveport in front, 2-0. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run off Biloxi pitcher Dane Parker.
"I think it speaks for itself, I think we came out and we played our kind of baseball," said Lamothe.
The losing streak for Biloxi has now reached 4 games.
