Baseball fans saw a good contest between the St. Petersburg Flying Squirrels and Montgomery Biscuits.

The St. Petersburg Flying Squirrels bested the Montgomery Biscuits by a score of 6-4, with center fielder Ronaldo Valero getting the main credit. On the day, Valero was 2-3 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Flying Squirrels. At 57-51, St. Petersburg is in 4th place in the Southern League Southeast Division.

St. Petersburg took a 5-4 lead on Emmanuel Rendon's 4th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Rendon hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Montgomery pitcher A.J. Mizutani visibly frustrated.
