Trash Pandas Rally For 6-4 Win
St. Petersburg got a valiant performance from pitcher Jonas Martin, but it wasn't enough to beat the Rocket City Trash Pandas. Rocket City won the game, 6-4. Martin threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Rocket City reliever Leo Lyon picked up the win, upping his record to 5-2. Corwin Carlson absorbed the loss. Getting the save was Wes Gilmore, his 17th.

Danny Dennis came through with a big-time hit for Rocket City. The second baseman smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Good, gritty kind of win," said Trash Pandas manager Alex Salcedo.

Rocket City currently is in 8th place in the Southern League Southeast Division at 47-60.
