The New Orleans Baby Cakes dealt the Evansville Triplets a 6-3 loss at BB&T Stadium. Danny Elzie was the star on offense. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. Jayden Lungren, the winning pitcher, improved to 14-7. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Today's win puts New Orleans at 74-61, while Evansville falls to 69-66.

Weston Belville had a big solo home run for the Baby Cakes in the top of the sixth inning. With New Orleans leading 3-2 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 29-year old right-handed pitcher Alton Stockton and punished it. The result was his 14th home run of the season, which put the Baby Cakes on top, 4-2.

"Feels good to get the job done," Belville said after the game.
