Cubs Get Close Win Over Triplets, 4-3
The Evansville Triplets got a sterling performance from pitcher Richard Neal, but the Iowa Cubs still prevailed, 4-3. Neal threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball. Their 62-71 record puts the Cubs 6th in the Pacific Coast League American Divison.

Keith Lindon was the walk-off hero for Iowa. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cubs second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This one wasn't over until it was over," Lindon said, postgame.
