The Winnipeg Goldeyes picked up a win at River Cats Ballpark, dropping the Sacramento River Cats, 4-1. Richard Poyser was the difference-maker. The winner was Poyser. He threw 6.0 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Irvin Bloomer. Earning his 11th save of the year was Randell Maxwell.

Jerrell McClendon delivered a big hit for Winnipeg. The catcher drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Goldeyes ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
