Storm Chasers Turn Back Aces, 4-2
|
Starting pitcher Ethan Carson had a solid game. He was a big reason the Omaha Storm Chasers throttled the Reno Aces, 4-2. The winner was Carson. He threw 5.2 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Tag Bryan. Getting the save was Jameson Cromer, his 16th.
It could have been a different outcome for Omaha, had it not been for Teagan Brittingham, the 24-year old third baseman . Brittingham contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Omaha up, 4-0.
In postgame remarks, Carson applauded his team's "toughness."
The win cannot erase the fact that Omaha still has a disappointing 44-92 record.
