The Reno Aces got a superb performance from pitcher Gilbert Nelson, but the Round Rock Express still won the game, 5-0. Nelson threw 6.2 innings allowing 3 runs. Avery Evjen recorded his 2nd save for Round Rock. The 4th-place Express now sit at 66-65.

The Express got a big at-bat from first baseman Colin Carlson. For the game, Carlson went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Round Rock a 3-0 lead.
