The Iowa Cubs extended their winning streak.

The Iowa Cubs beat the Honolulu ThunderSharks by a score of 7-3. Iowa left fielder Kal Rondan deserved the lion's share of the credit. Rondan was 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Cubs. Picking up his 2nd save was 29-year old right-handed pitcher Herbert Foret.

Iowa shortstop Lee Rankin contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 109th hit of the season and put the Cubs ahead, 5-1.

"This team's hitting on all cylinders," said Cubs manager Tony Osorio.

The wins continue to add up for Iowa. The latest makes it 7 in a row.
