Winnipeg turned a good effort from starter Pierce Finlay into a win over the New Orleans Baby Cakes at NBT Bank Stadium. The Goldeyes won the game, 5-2. The win elevated the Goldeyes to 75-56.

The Goldeyes got a big at-bat from shortstop Charles Silvestrini. For the game, Silvestrini was 3-5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season gave Winnipeg a 2-0 lead.

"It never gets old," said Finlay. "Winning, that is."
