Wranglers Win by Slim Margin, 4-3
|
Soggy conditions did not keep Oklahoma City and Winnipeg from playing their scheduled game.
Oklahoma City Wranglers starter Edwin Childers was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Winnipeg Goldeyes, 4-3. The winner was Oklahoma City reliever Benjamin Crook, now 5-4. The loser was Ahmad Brown. Kane Lohr closed the game out for Oklahoma City, earning his 9th save.
Marshall Humble delivered a big hit for Oklahoma City. The first baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Wranglers ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
After the game, Oklahoma City manager Jim Petit applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
The win makes Oklahoma City 54-75.
