Omaha catcher Jeremiah Mangels had a good game, even if his team did not. The Storm Chasers dropped a 7-4 decision to Iowa at Principal Park. Mangels was 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. LaTroy Meridy was the winner. He's now 1-4. The loser was Kai Henry. Leonardo López earned the save for Iowa, his 13th of the year.

Joey Russell helped out the Iowa cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop went 2 for 5 with a double.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Russell.

The defeat makes Omaha 47-82.
