The Tacoma Rainiers withstood an impressive performance by Edmonton catcher Kyle Beauchamp to defeat the Edge, 6-5, at Cheney Stadium. Beauchamp went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The 6th-place Edge have lost 4 consecutive games.

Clay Cosentino drove in one run for Tacoma. The 27-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Sonny Pitts. It was his 41st RBI of the season.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Cosentino told the Tacoma Observer. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
