Wranglers Handle Albuquerque, Snag 7-0 Win
|
Daniel Sherlock put on a pitching clinic, while helping the Oklahoma City Wranglers beat the Albuquerque Isotopes, 7-0. Sherlock, now 2-6, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 9, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Oklahoma City occupies 7th place in the Pacific Coast League American Divison at 54-78.
Oklahoma City used the hitting of Ian Mammone to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Wranglers on top, 3-0. For the game, Mammone had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Said losing manager Ryan Thrasher: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."
