Big Day for Townsend in 10-6 River Cats Win
The performance of Mason Townsend proved critical in helping Sacramento beat Reno, 10-6. The River Cats left fielder went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times. Sacramento pitcher Greg Heald got the win. He's now 7-8. Mitchell Joseph was tagged with the loss. Sacramento now sports a record of 68-57.

Lucas Dressler had a big 3-run home run for the River Cats in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Sacramento leading 7-4 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a fastball from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Benson Guevara and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the River Cats on top, 10-4.

"I keep finding places to plunk down base hits," said Townsend.
