Rainiers Walk It Off for 79th Win of Season
The Tacoma Rainiers, with some walk-off drama, delighted their fans at Cheney Stadium.

The Tacoma Rainiers defeated the Albuquerque Isotopes, 5-4, at Cheney Stadium. Tacoma was led by 23-year old catcher Jake Fornicola, who was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. The Rainiers raised their record to 79-48.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Fornicola hit a fastball from Max Rodriguez for a solo home run. The Rainiers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Exhilarating win," said Fornicola.
