Riding the 2-hit performance of the slugging left fielder Grant Burnett, the Tucson Sidewinders defeated the Albuquerque Isotopes, 3-1. Shea Harris, the winning pitcher, is now 8-3. He went 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 3. Nate Leetch earned the save, his 15th, for the Sidewinders.
With the game tied, 1-1, in the top of the sixth, Burnett had a key at-bat for Tucson. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Burnett hit a run-scoring single off Larry Weil, making the score 2-1, Sidewinders.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Albuquerque manager Ryan Thrasher.
The Sidewinders improved to 72-52.
