Angels Make It 4 Straight with 3-1 Win
|
In a tight affair between the California Angels and the Las Vegas Knights, pitcher Jim Combs was in the zone. The California left-hander helped his team win the game, 3-1. The winning pitcher was Combs, now 3-4. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. The 4th-place Angels now have a win-loss record of 28-30.
The Angels got a big at-bat from right fielder Michelangelo White. For the game, White went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave California a 2-1 lead.
