The Miami Marlins stopped the Vancouver Cascades, 11-6, at Royal Port Stadium. The Marlins got a big game from Tris Running, who went 4-5 with a triple and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Miami now sits at 39-18, while Vancouver falls to 32-25.

Running had no bigger at-bat than in the top of the seventh when the 24-year old third baseman hit a double. The double gave Miami the lead, 6-5. It was his 13th double of the season.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Running told the Miami Gazette.
