The Peoria Pride started the Divisional Series in style, downing the visiting Mesa Saguaros at Camelback Ranch by a score of 6-1 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Pride right-hander B.J. Ortega threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball.

Miguel Villalon helped his team take an early lead with a 3-run home run. It came in the first inning, making the score 4-0, Pride.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Villalon.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Camelback Ranch in Peoria.
