Twins Snatch Late-Game, 5-4 Win

The Minnesota Twins walked off with a big win.
The Twins grabbed a win, 5-4, at Target Field, overcoming a fine effort from Vancouver pitcher Ean Holby. Holby went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. The last-place Twins own a record of 16-40.
The Twins were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 26-year old center fielder Kelvin McGrady landed a big blow. He turned a first pitch fastball from Edward Stanley into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Target Field denizens into a frenzy and sent the Twins home with a thrilling 5-4 win.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," McGrady said.
