Colorado Gets 4-1 Win
|
The Colorado Rockies picked up a win at Tecumseh Field, taking down the Cleveland Indians, 4-1. Starting pitcher Sebastian Nodal was a big reason why. Nodal got the win, improving to 4-5. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. Nodal allowed 1 run. The save was credited to Gabe Kassels, his 3rd.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Kymani Whitley? The Colorado left fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Rockies on top, 3-0. For the game, Whitley had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Whitley attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
Today's win puts Colorado at 24-31, while Cleveland falls to 30-25.
