The Billings Mustangs defeated the Helena Brewers, 4-1, in Pioneer League action at Dehler Park. Billings pitcher Lewis Crossly had a standout performance. The 7th-place Mustangs raised their record to 29-34.

The Mustangs got a big at-bat from left fielder Jimmy Hidalgo. For the game, Hidalgo went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Billings a 4-1 lead.

"It's not about individual awards," Hidalgo told a Billings Observer reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
