7-1 Loss Extends Omaha Losing Streak
New Orleans got a strong outing from Brandon Sperling as the Baby Cakes defeated the Omaha Storm Chasers, 7-1, at Zephyr Field. The Baby Cakes have an impressive 76-47 record.

Jeremy Alexander hit a 2-run triple off Shon Olmstead in the bottom of the third, which put the Baby Cakes in front, 2-1. Alexander had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.

"Different night, same tune, unfortunately," said losing manager Gary Tucker.
